Breaking Down the Baltimore Ravens Schedule
By Joe Serpico
Week 3: Cincinnati Bengals – Sept. 27, 2015 (1 p.m.)
2014 Record: 10-5-1
Head-to-Head Record: 20-18
Last Meeting: Ravens 16 – Bengals 23 (Sept. 7, 2014)
Baltimore will be hoping this year’s home opener is much better than last season.
The Ravens opened up the 2015 with a disappointing loss at home which ended the Bengals four-game losing streak in Baltimore. The Bengals stunned the Ravens on kickoff weekend with A.J. Green‘s go-ahead 77-yard TD catch with 4:58 left. What made the outcome more disheartening was that the go-ahead score came just 48 seconds after Steve Smith caught an 80-yard touchdown pass to give the Ravens the lead.
Mike Nugent kicked five field goals to give the Bengals a 15-0 halftime lead, but they had failed to score a touchdown until Green snatched the bouncing ball out of the air and took it to the house.
The meeting with the Bengals is the third time in four seasons the Ravens home opener has been against Cincy, and is the start of a three-game stretch against divisional opponents with a short week upcoming.
