The Ravens first-round pick in 2008 survived just one season in Tennessee before being cut a year after signing a four-year, $20 million deal with the Titans. The Carolina Panthers feel that he is an upgrade to their current left tackle situation and have given him $2.5 million just to sign.

Oher will be reunited with former Ravens offensive line coach John Matsko, who was with Baltimore during Oher’s first two seasons. Oher enjoyed the best seasons of his career under Matsko and are hoping for a return to his previous play

The Ravens certainly had their struggles at left tackle a season ago, but they were better off without Oher. He’s allowed 27.5 sacks over the past three seasons and Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 50th worst offensive tackle of 54 eligible players.
