1. Ravens Win Super Bowl XXXV

The Super Bowl is American football’s biggest stage and it is basically a national holiday. The Ravens even making it to this game was an amazing feat in itself, considering they had just entered the league four years prior.

The purple and black battled the New York Giants and both teams were riding winning streaks, so something had to give. This game proved that defense wins championships. The 2000 Ravens defense was arguably the best unit in NFL history. They dominated the entire game, led by Super Bowl MVP Ray Lewis, who finished with 11 tackles and four defended passes.

Any Super Bowl victory is special, but the very first one in franchise history will always take the cake. Baltimore hadn’t seen a championship team since the Orioles won the World Series in 1983.
