Last year, my center field rankings were very close between Adam Jones and Jacoby Ellsbury for the top spot. Desmond Jennings came in third, ahead of Colby Rasmus and Jackie Bradley Jr. I said that Jennings’ numbers were not overly impressive, being around a .250 hitter (hit .244 last year), that the Jays were waiting on Rasmus to put it all together (he didn’t) and that I didn’t know what to expect from Bradley (it wasn’t good).

One comment said that Jones was likely the worst defender at center field in the AL East, and Colby Rasmus was likely the best. If you believe that argument, I have nothing to say. Jones has four Gold Gloves, winning his third straight in 2014. Rasmus had a negative WAR in 2014, and the Jays didn’t want him back.
But enough about last year, let’s move on to this year. And if you want to see my other rankings for catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop or left field, just click on the position.
