Maryland Terrapins Rock New Red Under Armour Uniforms
By Cory Forsyth

The Maryland Terrapins rocked new red Under Armour uniforms in their first Big Ten game against Michigan State.
In 2011, Maryland Athletics and Under Armour teamed up to re-brand the entire athletic department. The focus, MARYLAND PRIDE.
Ever since then, most of Maryland’s athletic teams have incorporated the Maryland state flag in a much bolder way on their uniforms.
The men’s basketball team unveiled new uniforms for their inaugural season in the Big Ten at their annual Maryland Madness back in October. Instead of the yellow and black trim that donned the uniforms since 2012, these new uniforms featured Maryland flag trim on the arm holes and the shorts.
But, for their first Big Ten game on Tuesday against Michigan State, the Terps broke out a different red uniform. This uniform had gold trim around the arm holes and the shorts with the Maryland flag trim only found on the waist band.
These new uniforms also had black and gold striping on the sides of the jersey and the shorts. The striping seemed to highlight the “M” logo on the shorts better than the original red uniforms Maryland has worn this season.
The back of the shorts also featured a sublimated Maryland flag pattern.

Will we see white, black and gold versions of this style of uniform in the future? Is this a new style of uniform just for conference play? I guess we will have to wait until Saturday when the Terps face Minnesota at the Xfinity Center in College Park.
What are your thoughts on the new style of uniforms?
