Paul Kruger will be the most impressive pass rusher in this game
With ten sacks this season, Paul Kruger has been the rare former Raven’s defender to actually excel in a new environment. He predominantly rushes from the defense’s left side, meaning he will spend most of his time engaged with rookie tackle James Hurst. Look out.
On the other side of the ball, the Ravens will be dealing with Joe Thomas, the best tackle in the league, and Mitchell Schwartz. The Ravens have been neutralized by some of the better offensive lines in the league this year, including the Browns in Week 3. In that 23-21 Ravens win, Baltimore did not get to Brian Hoyer once. A repeat of that could be in store.
The Ravens best bet will be rushing up the middle against center Nick McDonald, who has struggled in relief of an injured Alex Mack. Pernell McPhee and Timmy Jernigan could dominate inside.
All in all, though, Kruger seems to be the best bet to make an impact rushing the passer. Ravens fans should be pleased to see him doing well, just not in this game.
