Joe Flacco will outgain whoever the Texans start at quarterback by at least 100 yards

Playing his best ball since the 2013 playoff, Joe Flacco has been the catalyst for the Ravens’ offensive production since the bye week. In fact, his 99.4 passer rating last week was his lowest since November 9. And here is the shocker: Joe Flacco has averaged more yards and a higher yards per attempt average on the road than at home this year.

The Texans, meanwhile, ran the ball a ton even with the competent, if unspectacular Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. With a mystery signal caller, the Texans might not pass the ball more than a dozen times. I’m exaggerating slightly, but the Texans will run the ball a lot against a Ravens’ run defense that looked very vulnerable against the Jaguars.

That should allow Flacco to put up some much bigger numbers than his Texans counterpart, even if the Ravens run the ball a lot as they usually do late in the season.
