Baltimore Orioles: Hoping for Jon Lester in the National League

Though the Baltimore Orioles managed to “get to” Jon Lester a bit more in the last two years—including three losses to the O’s in 2013 and another on the opening day of 2014—the big lefty has been an Orioles killer. He has a lifetime ERA of 2.78 with a record of 15-4 against Baltimore.
So it would be really good if he chooses to go to the Chicago Cubs rather than the Boston Red Sox—the two teams still in the running to earn his services (as of the writing of this post in the wee hours of Wednesday morning).
While watching Twitter updates to see if he lands anywhere, the Tweets have been extraordinarily entertaining, with hundreds of them hitting every minute.
The Lester thing is almost to the point where I don't even care. #wishthatweretrue

Even the San Francisco Giants had a humorous take on their phone call rejection by Lester:
@BrianSmyth4 Our assistant GM says we didn't get a rose from Lester, are out. Better warm up that limo, Boomer.

And I agree with this one:
Dear Jon Lester, I realize that you don't have to report to work for another 3 months, but some of us have to work in 8 hours.
