Running Backs

For some odd reason, the Ravens were not willing to feature Justin Forsett as a big part in this game. He received just 13 carries, but it’s an indication that 13 wasn’t enough that he rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown. His yard-per-carry average for the game was 5.5. Will this guy ever stop?

As I have stated a number of times over the last few weeks, the Ravens should have gave more carries to rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro than Bernard Pierce. Sure enough, they listened to me, and gave the rookie seven carries compared to Pierce’s three. It’s still not a lot, but I’ll take it.

Another rusher to note in this game is a man by the name of Joe Flacco. He actually carried the ball a season-high seven times, and although he only accumulated 16 yards, he came up with a couple of huge plays on the ground in short-yardage situations.
