Baltimore Ravens Week 13 Injury Report

The Baltimore Ravens have two big games coming up over the next two weeks in terms of wild card positioning. Next week they will head down to the Sunshine State and face the Miami Dolphins; but before they can enjoy a nice day on the beach, they must deal with Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers.

The Chargers’ 7-4 record is the same as the Ravens and four other teams in the AFC. With that being said, losing any game will put you at a disadvantage. With all the teams stuck together so closely, this game is an important one for both sides.

Let’s take a look at which injuries will impact this game:

Probable: DE Pernell McPhee, OT Jah Reid

Defensive end Pernell McPhee was placed on the injury report for the first time this week with a shoulder injury, but there is no major concern there. He was limited in both Thursday’s and Friday’s practice, but was a full participant on Saturday and is listed as probable for Sunday’s game.

After going three straight games and recording a sack in each earlier this season, McPhee has failed to get one in the past four weeks. I personally would not be too concerned though, because everyone goes through their rough stretches. Plus, even with him being absent in the sack category, he has shown up elsewhere and has helped out the Ravens very much.

Reid, who has only been active for four games this season, is likely to play against San Diego. He will be available as the backup to starting right tackle Rick Wagner.

Michael Campanaro is QUESTIONABLE

Rookie wide receiver Michael Campanaro has not played in a game since Week 8 against Cincinnati, when he injured his hamstring. He is still not a sure thing to return to the field in Week 13.

His injury came at a bad time, as he was starting to figure things out. He caught three passes for 40 yards in that game against the Bengals before suffering the injury and being forced to leave.

Head Coach John Harbaugh said,

"“He’s coming along. It’s a process with hamstring [injuries]. You can’t really push that thing too much. What usually happens with hamstrings is they’re pretty conservative, and then all of the sudden they come back and they tell you he’s ready to go.”"

Five Chargers on injury report

San Diego has listed five players on their injury report. Some players have serious injuries and some have minor ones.

Backup nose tackle Ryan Carrethers has been ruled out, linebacker Andrew Gachkar is doubtful, defensive tackle Tenny Palepoi is questionable, and running back Ryan Matthews and wide receiver Eddie Royal are both probable.
