Steve Smith Sr. vs Brandon Flowers

Speaking of the passing game, this will be a very fun matchup to watch on Sunday. Both of these players are now considered veterans and both changed teams this offseason. Brandon Flowers went from the Kansas City Chiefs to their division rival San Diego Chargers. We all know the story of how Steve Smith Sr. came to Baltimore.

Both of these players have been fantastic on their new respective teams. Flowers has played at the level of a top five corner this year and has been put under a ton of pressure to succeed since star rookie Jason Verrett was lost for the season.

Smith will definitely look forward to the tough challenge. He was very good against the Saints last week after being quiet over the previous few weeks. This matchup will be huge for the Ravens’ success on offense, specifically on third down. Last week Smith Sr. converted four of the six passing third-down conversions. His presence on third down is the core reason he has been so valuable to Joe Flacco and this new and improved Ravens offense.
