Gary Kubiak knows what Flacco does best

When Gary Kubiak said he was going to study Joe Flacco to see what he does best, he wasn’t kidding, as Monday night’s win was full of vintage Joe Flacco plays.

On multiple occasions, Flacco identified single coverage on Steve Smith and just tossed up a jump ball to his best playmaker. Smith rewarded Flacco on such throws with multiple big plays.

Getting the ball out of his Flacco’s hands was clearly a priority. The game plan was full of quick throws to Flacco’s first read, especially against off coverage. Torrey Smith especially did a great job in these situations, catching the ball in space then gaining yards after the catch.

With quicker reads and more license to gamble on his playmakers, Flacco had his best game in weeks. More of that should keep Flacco productive, efficient and victorious.
