Rick Wagner and Eugene Monroe vs Junior Galette and Cameron Jordan

Rick Wagner and Eugene Monroe will have their hands full this Monday night against two very quick and powerful pass rushers. Wagner has been fantastic as a pass blocker this season, only allowing one sack thus far and is the Ravens’ best pass blocker according to PFF. Wagner, a former 5th round pick, has definitely exceeded his expectations in his first year starting at right tackle.

Eugene Monroe was rewarded with a very huge contract this offseason: five years / $37.5 million to be exact. Surprisingly, Monroe has struggled at times this season. His run blocking has been sub-par, but he has held up well in pass blocking and will look to slow down a very tough competitor in Cameron Jordan.

Junior Galette has been exquisite in rushing the quarterback this season. He has six sacks,  thirty-one QB hurries, and ranks third on PFF in rushing the passer at his position.

Cameron Jordan is no schmuck either. Jordan has five sacks along with 25 QB hurries on the season.

Both Wagner and Monroe will be tested in this game. This matchup is essential for Flacco’s success, especially in a very tough environment.
