Statistically, Haloti Ngata doesn’t stand out, but that doesn’t mean he’s not making a big impact. He has dominated opposing blockers, opening things up for the Ravens’ great linebackers to make plays. That has a ton of value, and that, paired with Ngata’s lofty reputation, should help him earn a Pro Bowl selection. That said, there is stiff competition at defensive tackle. Gerald McCoy, Sheldon Richardson, Ndamukong Suh, Aaron Donald, Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus are among the more prominent competition. All are great players, but so is Ngata, and his reputation could win out.
