Ozzie Martinez – Background and Stats, Future Prospects
Osvaldo Martinezis currently age 26 and split the past season between the Braves’ AAA team (.288 in 78 games) and the Dodgers AA Chattanooga (.176 in 33 games).
He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the 11thround in 2006. Martinez made it to the majors for brief stints in 2010 and 2011. His MLB total is .258 in 34 games.

The primary position for Martinez is shortstop, though he can also play second base and third base.

It would stand to reason that if he was going to make it in the big leagues, he would have made more noise by now. But there may be a need for depth at some point that he could fill in if an emergency arises.
