The women’s teams of Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference play a very strong style of basketball in a very competitive league. Fourteen college teams from across the state compete for regular season honors followed by a postseason conference tournament.
Rob Long, half of WJZ-FM The Fan’s “Vinny & Rob Show,” is the head coach at the Community College of Baltimore County Dundalk. CCBC / Dundalk is a combined team with players from CCBC / Essex and CCBC / Catonsville as well as Dundalk.
Last year Harford lost to ASA in the NJCAA Division I District Tournament, and Montgomery fell to Region XVII champs West Georgia Tech 87-63 in their District Final. Chesapeake College had the most success as they finished 6th at NJCAA Division II National Championship in Overland Park, KS.
