Backup Quarterback
The Ravens don’t have a ton of pressing needs, but they have a lot of areas where they could improve. They could use better depth at numerous positions, including offensive tackle, defensive line, running back and possibly safety as well. Most of all, though, the Ravens need a better backup quarterback.
Imagine a world where Joe Flacco is injured Week 1. The Ravens would be hard-pressed to win more than four games with Tyrod Taylor at the helm. That has to change.
Keith Wenning, the Ravens’ sixth-round pick this year, remains an option, but there should be better options on the free agent market. There are always numerous solid backups on the free agent market, and the time has come for the Ravens to bite the bullet and pay a guy to carry a clipboard.
