The Southern Garrett boys team avenged a seven-point regional loss to Smithsburg in comfortably winning the 1A title by 38 points over frequent champions Bohemia Manor. Smithsburg fell to fourth place, one spot behind Northern Garrett.
For Bohemia Manor senior Ty Franks, his victory was his third consecutive state championship.
Katie Leisher was also a repeat champion from 2013.
