The secondary has looked weak throughout the beginning of this season, but they looked good against the talented Tampa Bay receivers. Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson caught four passes each and most of them came in the second half when the Ravens were playing a prevent defense.

A good sign for Ravens fans was seeing Lardarius Webb making plays out there like he used to. He recorded three tackles and shut down his respected receiver. He did get injured in the second half, but the Ravens haven’t shown much concern over it.

Jimmy Smith picked off his first pass of the season in the first quarter of this game, also recording five tackles. Smith has had a very impressive start to the 2014 season, carrying his play over from 2013. I have a message for all other teams: Watch out for Jimmy Smith.
