As good as this defense has been through the first five weeks of the season, the secondary has to step up. They performed terribly in Week 3 against the Browns, decently in Week 4 against the Panthers, and were pedestrian again this week.

They gave up some big plays, and as a result of that, Andrew Luck threw for 312 yards and a touchdown. And although the Ravens recorded two interceptions, none of them came at the hands of the DB’s. Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton were able to catch 16 passes for 167 yards combined.

The one good thing that came out of this game was the performance that Lardarius Webb put up. After only seeing four snaps this season prior to this game, Webb displayed his best performance since last season. He was third on the team in tackles with six, and defended two passes. That is something that the Ravens would love to see happen more consistently. He is key to the secondary’s success.
