The running backs were up and down in this game with little room to run. Forsett continued his impressive play, rushing 42 yards on six carries (seven yards-per-carry) and recording the only touchdown for the Ravens on the day. However, the big Lorenzo Taliaferro did not look so great. He rushed for 18 yards on a minimal five carries.

Bernard Pierce came in late in this game, and added an extra boost right out of the gate. He rushed for 10+ yards on back-to-back plays, finishing the day rushing for 30 yards on four carries.

The Ravens should continue to mix it up and use the three-back arrangement to their advantage. You don’t need to have one lead back.
