Joe Flacco had performed excellently through the first four weeks of the 2014 season, but he did not play very well in Week 5 against the Colts. A lot of that was due to the poor protection of the offensive line, but let’s not point figures.

He completed 22-of-38 passes for 235 yards, but threw a big interception in the third quarter that led to the Colts’ first scoring drive to put them up by ten.

Flacco did not play all that bad in this game. He made some nice throws, and escaped from the pocket on a number of occasions. He was running all over the place in this game. In the end, I would call it a mediocre performance.
