For the third time in the first four weeks of his career, rookie middle linebackerC.J. Mosleyled the Ravens in tackles with 11. The youngster has looked fantastic through the first four weeks of the season, displaying a combination of speed, agility, quickness, and physicality all in one. He truly is the prototypical linebacker, and after losingRay Lewis, Baltimore is more than happy to have him.

Daryl Smithhas also been very solid through the first quarter of the season with 21 tackles. He recorded eight today, which was second on the team behind Mosley.

However, the big story at linebacker today came with the edge-rushers. Former Denver BroncoElvis Dumervilrecorded 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits on the day. He already has 3,5 sacks to start the seaosn. Another good sign wasTerrell Suggspicking up his first sack today. Although it was a half of a sack, it’s still a sack nonetheless.
