The Ravens were applying pressure on Cam Newton all day long. They hit the QB seven times and defended seven passes. However, as it pertains to the defensive line, they predominantly stuffed up the run game.

Starting running back DeAngello Williams rushed 11 times for just 34 yards before leaving the game in the second quarter with a foot injury. He would return to the game, but only for a brief moment before heading back to the locker room. His replacement, Darrin Reaves, did not fare any better. He rushed for 26 yards on 12 carries which comes to out to an average of 2.2 yards-per-rush.

Haloti Ngata and DeAngelo Tyson were all big parts in contributing to that, as they recorded three tackles each.
