Two words – Steve Smith. The newly-acquired Ravens’ receiver was magnificent against his former team, who he spent the first 13 years of his career with. Not only did he catch seven passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns, but he made some huge plays that drastically impacted the game.
Other then the aforementioned tip-drill he performed in the second quarter, he made some other big plays. On the first play from scrimmage for the Ravens, Flacco dumped it off to Steve Smith, and he ran for 17 yards on the screen. The dude is 35 years old, but he sure doesn’t look like it. There was also another great play late in the first half when the Ravens were at the 21-yard-line. Flacco dropped the snap, picked the ball up from the ground, heaved it up towards the end zone,
and Smith came down with the touchdown grab despite being interfered with
