The Ravens came into this game eighth in the league in rushing with 411 yards and they looked great coming out of the gate. Forsett received the bulk of the carries in the first half and continued his impressive play from Week 2. He finished the day with 66 yards on 14 carries (4.7 yards-per-rush).
However, when the second half came along, they looked a bit stagnant. Rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro took over for the remainder of the game and did a solid job, but not great. He ran for 58 yards on 15 carries (3.9-yards-per-rush). Each back rushed for a touchdown on the day.
Perhaps their less impressive play in the run game was due to them maintaining such a big lead. When a team holds a big lead, the opponent will always be looking for the run first and foremost. Regardless of the situation, I personally think that Justin Forsett is the Ravens number one running back, but they should just keep on going with the hot hand whoever that may be.
