Ravens fans will wish Bene Benwikere was a Raven by the end of the game

Kelvin Benjamin has rightly earned headlines for his excellent play thus far, but it will be Bene Benwikere, the Panthers fifth-round pick this year, who will inspire the most jealousy from Ravens fans.

Benwikere, who might qualify for the NFL’s all-name team, has excelled as a nickel corner for the Panthers, providing excellent coverage to this point in the year. He is a corner with natural ball skills, something Ravens fans would love to see in the Ravens secondary.

This paired with solid size and excellent instincts in zone make Benwikere the nickel corner the Ravens wish they had. He may or may not make a big play, but Benwikere will play a big role for the Panthers defense. And if they succeed in slowing down the Ravens’ passing attack, Benwikere will be a big reason why.
