Lorenzo Taliaferro will remain the hot back

Ravens fans who watched the Pittsburgh Steelers dismantle the Panthers last week were probably giddy as the Steelers’ ground game gashed the Panthers defense consistently to the tune of 264 yards. They should be.

Lorenzo Taliaferro had a phenomenal game against the Browns and showed skills that give confidence for his future. And considering the success the Steelers’ big backs had against the Panthers, Taliaferro and Bernard Pierce could be in line for big games.

Taliaferro has shown enough in just one big game to deserve major carries. I still expect Pierce to start and receive some carries early, but the Ravens have proven willing to feed the running back with the hot hand. I expect that to again be Taliaferro, who could be in line for a big game.
