The defense’s performance as a whole was a bit tricky to figure out in this game.
The line applied some pressure in the first half, but not too much and they failed to sack quarterback Andy Dalton once in the entire game. Not many positives came out from this game as it pertains to the D-line, as they failed to record any quarterback hits and only two players recorded more than two tackles.
Those two players were veterans Chris Canty and DeAngelo Tyson, who recorded four and three tackles respectively. Brandon Williams, Haloti Ngata, and rookie Timmy Jernigan each accumulated two tackles.
