As expected, the Baltimore Ravens have re-signed cornerback Derek Cox.

In order to make room for the veteran, the team cut inside linebacker Josh Bynes, who has been with the team for a few years now and made the final tackle in the Ravens Super Bowl victory in 2013.

Although the Ravens’ starting three corners are all healthy and ready to go, this was a move that had to be made.

The only question now is: what will Cox’s role be on the team? Will he be the third cornerback instead of Asa Jackson, the fourth instead of Chykie Brown, or the fifth behind all of them?

Regardless of the situation, this was a good move made by the Ravens considering that they only possessed four cornerbacks on the roster and several linebackers.
