4. Kickers – Legs a plenty
Redshirt freshman Adam Greene and junior Brad Craddock went a combined 1-for-3 in the scrimmage for field goals.
Is this a cause for concern? I don’t think so.
Green missed from 48 yards on a kick that hit off the right upright but later connected on a 47-yard field goal that bounced off the crossbar and over for three points.
The Aussie kicker Craddock took a shot from 50 yards and came up just short.
Considering each attempt was beyond 45 yards, and that the two that missed, missed barely, I can live with that today.
We all know Craddock can kick the snot out of the ball, but he has yet to prove he can be consistent and help this team get the 3 points to end a drive or win a game.
If Craddock slips up at all early in the season, don’t be surprised if Greene gets an opportunity to kick the pigskin.
