The 49ers as a team only recorded 116 yards through the air in this game, so that should indicate how well the Ravens’ defensive backs performed. They also intercepted passes in each half.
In the first half, cornerback Asa Jackson made a case for himself by picking off a Blaine Gabbert pass. He would finish with two tackles.
In the second half, veteran Dominique Franks recorded an interception and took it back 25 yards.
Defensive back Tremain Jacobs ended the night second in tackles with four; all solo. Safety Matt Elam also recorded two tackles, which was a good sign for Ravens fans — after hearing that he wasn’t performing up to expectations in camp.
