Offensive Line

The improvement that fans saw from the offensive line in the preseason opener was one of the most exciting occurrence on the night. On the first drive, the line gave Flacco plenty of time to throw the ball, leading to him completing 4-of-5 passes.

The group was also much improved on the ground, as both Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce had much more room to run than they ever did last year. And let’s not forget, they were going up against the 49ers defense – one of the top in the league.

Rick Wagner appeared to fit in well and perform admirably in his first experience as the starting right tackle.

And there were no exchange problems or anything of that sort with new center Jeremy Zuttah.
