Maryland’s Big Ten conference schedule puts them up against three teams that are ranked in the preseason Top 25, two of which are ranked in the top ten (Ohio State #6, Michigan State #8).
Overall, the Big Ten has four teams in the Top 25 compared to the ACC who only has three with Florida State being the only Top Ten team.
The Terps struggled in the ACC during Coach Edsall’s first two season going a combined 6-18.
In 2013, Maryland looked like it had turned a corner and should have finished with a few more wins if it weren’t for major injuries on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
They ended up finishing the season 7-6 which included a loss in the Military Bowl to Marshall.
Randy Edsall finished his time coaching in the ACC with a 13-24 record.
Though that record doesn’t look good on paper and it doesn’t look good to fans who want instant success, Coach Edsall has been laying the foundation to make this football program one that can contend.
Maryland is led by sixth year senior quarterback, C.J Brown and dual threats in wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Deon Long which will help the Terps earn respect quickly in the Big Ten.
Brown has the ability to beat you with his arms and his legs.
Both Diggs and Long are explosive and dangerous athletes when the ball is in their hands.
Maryland will look to improve on their seven wins from last season and make another bowl game all while hoping to make some noise in the Big Ten.
