The Orioles desperately needed a left-handed reliever and they got a good one in Andrew Miller. The 29-year-old has 2.34 ERA this year while striking out 69 batters. With primary left-hander Brian Matusz struggling, this will pay for the O’s.
The Orioles will give up their third-best prospect in pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez to acquire Miller.
The Orioles now have three players that they can especially rely upon in the bullpen: Zach Britton, Darren O’Day, and now Andrew Miller. This will undoubtedly help the Orioles in their run at a World Series championship this year.
