Certainly the MVP of the state meet for 2A state champion Oakdale High School of Frederick County was junior Jackie McNulty. Three personal titles and 30 team points is a good day’s work …

Pole Vault – 11’ 6”

Long Jump – 17’ 6.5”

Triple Jump – 38’ 5.25”

Her best long jump was on her second attempt, and all five of her legal jumps were ahead of the rest of the field.

McNulty was really aggressively going after the triple jump – not only evidenced by these awesome pictures, but also in that she fouled on four of six attempts. Her best jump was on the third attempt, which is only 5.5 inches short of the Maryland State 2A record.

McNulty set a new indoor pole vault record this year with a vault of 12’ 6”.  And she has another year to push past all these standards. This is impressive.
