Maryland makes is last trip down to Cameron Indoor Stadium today where they will face a long-time ACC rival in Duke.
Duke holds a 113-63 advantage in the series but Maryland is currently riding a two-game win streak from last year including a big win over the Blue Devils in the ACC tournament.
Cameron Indoor Stadium, along with the Cameron Crazies make playing Duke at home one of the toughest atmospheres in all of college basketball. Maryland will visit many Big-Ten hostile environments next season but leaving Duke with a loss on their home court would be very sweet for this improving Maryland squad.
Maryland is led by Dez Wells who is averaging 16.4 points per game on 49 percent shooting in away contests. Sophomore guard Seth Allen has been on a shooting high in his past four games, averaging 18.5 points over that stretch including a 32 point performance against Florida State.
This game will show whether or not this Maryland team is ready to take the next step. Time is running out and they need to get some quality wins over ranked opponents now.
Duke will not make it easy on the Terps as they lead the nation in three-point field goal percentage (.420) and rank fifth nationally in three point shots made (9.7).
The Blue Devils are led by freshman sensation Jabari Parker who leads the ACC in rebounds (8.5 rpg) and is second in scoring (19.2 ppt).
