In all honesty, drafting young talent in any professional sport is difficult. Often times, it can be a matter of luck, but there is a certain science to it. Scouts get paid lots of money to try and catch lightning in a bottle, to try and find that one player who’s going to be the next star for the team.

It’s no secret, at least not among Baltimore sports fans, that the Baltimore Orioles have had some troubles in the draft in the past.
