The Baltimore Orioles have had some great luck in the past with the MLB Draft, but they’ve also made some terrible moves. Who are the five biggest draft busts for the Orioles?

In all honesty, drafting young talent in any professional sport is difficult. Often times, it can be a matter of luck, but there is a certain science to it. Scouts get paid lots of money to try and catch lightning in a bottle, to try and find that one player who’s going to be the next star for the team.

It’s no secret, at least not among Baltimore sports fans, that the Baltimore Orioles have had some troubles in the draft in the past. Not every team drafts an All-Star every year, that’s a given, but things have been especially rough on the Orioles when it comes to the draft over the past decade or so.

So without any further delay, here are the five biggest draft busts in Baltimore Orioles’ history. I’ve included in each selection the players who were drafted after the Orioles’ pick, just to make it sting that much worse for you.
