Episode 15 of BMore Wired is a joyous one as the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles and Maryland Terps are all coming off wins over the weekend.

Life is good for Baltimoreans. The

Baltimore Ravens

beat the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, the

Maryland Terrapins

are undefeated at 2-0 and the

Baltimore Orioles

have taken their spot back in the playoff picture.

The Ravens defense was dominant in the regular season opener, limiting Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy and their offense to 160 yards. There was some good and some bad from the game, but the important thing is that they escaped healthy.

We dive into our “7s” next, where we talk about random stories around the sports world. Here are some of the topics we discuss on this episode:

1. This might be the only time we talk junior college football, but a Mt. San Antonio player was arrested after punching a referee and knocking him out cold.
2. The ESPN fantasy app crashed on Sunday and it was an absolute disaster. To the guy in charge of this at the Worldwide Leader, we need a stats guy since we know you are now looking for work.
3. Former Philadelphia 76er and now Hall of Famer Allen Iverson gave a great speech at his induction ceremony. We break down our highlights of the speech.
4. Oakland Raiders Head Coach Jack Del Rio has some cajones after going for the two-point conversion to win the game instead of the extra point to tie.
5. We had another player drop the ball before entering the end zone as Ray-Ray McCloud of Clemson is latest member into that dumb club. When are these guys going to stop with this?
6. It should not have happened, but the last play in Central Michigan’s win over Oklahoma State was great. What a play design.
7. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson leaped a would-be tackler before scoring another touchdown. He has 13 touchdowns in two games and is the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy.
8. Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and former Oriole Rich Hill was pulled after seven perfect innings. We have varying opinions on whether he should have continued or not.
9. Our boy Ryan Lochte was suspended for 10 months by USA Swimming. Maybe he wants to party with us in the meantime?

Next, we invite Banks from Barstool Sports to the show to recap the Bills outcome and preview the next game against the Cleveland Browns. Like all our guests leading up to the start of the season, we ask for his prediction on the Ravens and the AFC North.

More from The Baltimore Wire

We switch to Maryland football next and the Terps are halfway at our preseason prediction of starting the season 4-0. We think it’s possibly they go 5-0 after Penn State’s poor showing against Pittsburgh this past weekend. Perry Hills still has not turned the ball over and the running backs are getting the job done. If the Terrapins can dominate Central Florida this weekend, we will be convinced that Maryland will make a bowl game.

We bring on former Terps safety Eric Franklin to discuss his former team. Franklin was the leading tackler for Maryland during the 2011 season, and played for both Ralph Friedgen and Randy Edsall. We talk about his playing days, the current state of the program and his picks to win the Big Ten Conference and the national championship. For those wondering what Franklin is up to these days, he is currently the outside linebackers coach for Wagner College.

We end the show discussing the Orioles and their continued push to the playoffs. The series win over the Detroit Tigers was huge to drop them back in the postseason race. The starting pitching has been masterful, minus the couple duds from Wade Miley, including last night’s embarrassing outcome against the Boston Red Sox. We are watching that poor effort from Miley as we do the show so forgive us for being half into the end of this episode.

We break down the rest of the Orioles schedule and there are no easy games remaining. The O’s control their own fate the rest of the way with much of their competition against playoff hopefuls. We are hoping our boys of summer also become the boys of fall.

That’s a wrap for this week’s episode of BMore Wired. We hope that the next show is another week of our teams getting wins and get to keep the good vibes going. Until then, cue the Delmon Young.
