The Baltimore Ravens schedule in 2016 is a favorable one, featuring two primetime games and the usual opponent to close out the season.

The Ravens are coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history, but it’s time to forget about the past. They now know the road they will take to make 2016 a better year.

When the NFL released the schedule last season, we knew it would be rough. The Ravens played in eight games with a 4 o’clock start or later with several games on the West Coast. They were matched up against teams that would be playoff contenders in the early part of the season, and injuries derailed any hopes for a turnaround in the second half of the season.

The first half of the schedule this season is much easier for the Ravens. They will face off against only one playoff team in the first seven games before heading into the bye week. The second half of the season gets more difficult, but the hope is that a strong start will set them up for a better finish.

If there is one thing John Harbaugh can complain about its the fact that the Ravens never seem to get a home game on Monday night. Since taking over for Brian Billick, Harbs has played in only one home game on Monday, but this season his team will travel to New England for a crucial Monday night showdown.

If he wants to complain some more, he can bring up the fact that the Birds travel to Cincinnati almost every year to close out the season. The Bengals have owned the Ravens as of late, and Harbaugh knows the key to winning the division is ending the curse in Cincy.

The Ravens will be better in 2016 with the return of Joe Flacco, Steve Smith, Terrell Suggs and Justin Forsett. They made key moves this offseason by bringing in Mike Wallace, Ben Watson and Eric Weddle, and should land an impact player with the No. 6 pick in the draft. The pieces should be there to make this season a better one.

Let’s take a look how the Ravens schedule will play out this season, starting with a Week 1 matchup against some old friends.
