The Ravens are fresh off a very important win against the reeling New Orleans Saints. They now come home to M&T Bank Stadium after playing five of their last seven games on the road. The Ravens offense looked refreshed following the bye week, and the front seven of the defense were phenomenal in the win.

I have two favorite moments from the Ravens playing against the San Diego Chargers multiple times over the years. The most popular moment of choice is of course “Hey Diddle-Diddle, Ray Rice Up The Middle” — the infamous fourth-and-29 check down to Ray Rice that he miraculously turned into a first down that led to Justin Tucker‘s first of many game-winning field goals.

My second favorite moment goes all the way back to 2009, when the Ravens played the Chargers on the road. It was fourth and two with a minute remaining, and the Chargers were driving with no timeouts. The Chargers ran a run play between the center and right guard with Darren Sproles. As soon as Darren Sproles was given the ball he was immediately hit for a four-yard loss by who else than future Hall of Fame member Ray Lewis. Lewis timed the snap perfectly and burst into the backfield. Sproles had no chance to even attempt to convert the fourth down.

Let’s hope the Ravens create another great memory against a tough Chargers team this year. Here are some key matchups …
