Some people believe that team work makes the dream work. If that is the case, it is going to take a team effort from the Baltimore Ravens to be successful during the 2014 football season.

Due to the Ray Rice elevator issue; which resulted in him being cut from the team, the Ravens have been faced with a media firestorm that affects them collectively as a team.

This could be a bad thing if the team falls victim to the media and everything that everyone has to say. Or it could be a great thing for the Ravens if they pull together and show that they not only have physical strength, but also mental strength to overcome dark times of oppression.

Personally, I believe that this will be a good experience for the Ravens to grow from and learn from as a unit. In life, you have to go through the bad to appreciate and understand the good.

Furthermore, this is not the first time that the Ravens have been in the media in a negative way. Times in the past may have been considered worse.

In 2000, Ray Lewis, who has been a key player for the Ravens for just about all of his career was charged with murder.

Following a party for Super Bowl XXXIV, a fight broke out that involved Lewis and his companions against another group of people. As a result of the fight, two people were left dead, and Lewis was charged with murder.

Eventually, the charges were dropped against Lewis and he just served probation for the charges for a plea agreement.

The following year, Lewis was the named the MVP of Super Bowl XXXV. And has continued to do great things in his career into his retirement.

During the 2014 preseason a statue of the linebacker was placed in front of M& T Bank Stadium, which is the home stadium of the Baltimore Ravens.

Clearly, the rain does not last forever. And this early in the season it is a little hard to predict how the season will go for the team, considering that they are 1-1.

But tonight’s game against the Cleveland Browns might be a good place to start. Let’s go Ravens!
