Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers: Who’s Playing, Who’s Not

Enough has been said about the Week 2 matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. We have seen all the previews, predictions, and opinions pertaining to the game. I’m here to give you some actual news.

Here are a list of some of the players whose statuses are in doubt for Thursday night’s game:

Lardarius Webb questionable

The Ravens have been without their starting cornerback since the second day of practice, but this is the most optimistic they have been about him since then. Lardarius Webb himself also thinks that there’s a good shot that he will return to the field tomorrow night.

“I’m ready to get it going,” Webb told reporters on Tuesday. “Who better than Pittsburgh? I’m feeling good – just ready to get out there and get everything going. [I’m ready to] play some football.”

Webb has fully participated in practice this week. Last week we heard a bunch of reporters saying different things about whether he would play or not. Some said he would, some said he wouldn’t, but in the end, he missed the game in a Ravens’ 23-16 loss.

It was however, a good opportunity for Jimmy Smith, who excelled in his first career game as a number-one cornerback, recording five tackles and doing an excellent job on A.J. Green. He covered Green the entire first half, and held him to just two receptions for minimal yardage.

Chykie Brown on the other hand, did not look so impressive. He was on A.J. Green for the entire second half, and allowed him to haul in four catches for over 100 yards including the game-winning touchdown with under five minutes to go. So with that being said, us and the Ravens’ staff would absolutely love to see Webb suit up on Thursday.

Marshal Yanda probable

The only Ravens’ player on the injury report other then Webb was Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda.

He had an apparent foot injury, as the injury report listed, but it wasn’t a real injury. Ravens’ head coach John Harbaugh said that they just held him out of practice on Monday.

Harbaugh said that he’s healthy, there’s no injury, and he will be good to go.

RB Dri Archer and WR Lance Moore both out

The Steelers will be without two of their reserves on Thursday.

Rookie running back Dri Archer has been ruled out with a knee injury and wide receiver Lance Moore is out with a groin injury.

The Steelers did place 14 others on ter injury report, including Ben Roethlisberger and Le’Veon Bell, but they all look like they are going to participate in this one.
