Baltimore Ravens Injury Report vs Bengals

The Baltimore Ravens go into their first game against the Cincinnati Bengals almost fully healthy. There are, however, a few exceptions.

Bernard Pierce probable with a concussion

Running back Bernard Pierce is set to start the first two games during starting running back Ray Rice‘s two game suspension. He will want all the action he can get, so he will try his hardest to participate in this game.

Pierce missed the last week of the preseason due to a concussion he suffered in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins.

After averaging 4.9 yards-per-carry in 2012 – his rookie year, Pierce suffered through a miserable year in 2013. The third-year man out of Temple rushed 152 times for just 436 yards (2.9 yards-per-carry) in his second season, so getting off to a good start in 2014 will be vital to him.

Lardarius Webb questionable with a back injury

Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun, reported both injuries.

Webb missed the entire preseason with a back injury that he suffered in training camp. Getting him back will be vital, as the secondary has been a bit banged up.

Jimmy Smith and Asa Jackson both missed time in the preseason, so keeping the number one cornerback on the field will be something that the Ravens will rely on throughout the season.

Marvin Jones ruled out with a broken foot

Third-year wide receiver Marvin Jones has officially been ruled out by the Bengals as has running back Rex Burkhead.

Linebacker Sean Porter and wide receiver James Wright are both doubtful to play in this game, as they did not participate in any practices this week. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict and cornerback Darqueze Dennard were both limited in their action in practice this week, but they are both likely to play in week one.
