Baltimore Ravens: Ray Rice Suspended For First Two Games

After a rugged offseason and a lot of court proceedings, Ray Rice has finally had his ruling. According to Adam Shefter, Rice will be suspended for the first two games of the season.

Under terms of this two-game suspension for violating NFL personal conduct policy, Ray Rice would lose two games checks for a total of $470,588.

This is good news to the three backup running backs as they will now get their chances to display their talents. This is especially good news to Justin Forsett who would have likely been left off the roster if Rice were to participate in the first two games of the season. Now he will get his chance.

However, does this really hurt the Ravens? There is really no way of knowing as Rice had a terrible year last season. He could still turn it around as he is Ray Rice, who was one of the best running backs in the game just one year ago.

How will this suspension impact the team? We will find out as we approach the start of preseason.
