The Patriots and the Ravens have struggled this year, yet they are both  still in the playoff picture. Since 2008 it seems these two teams  have played each other in playoff games every year…and the Ravens are starting to take control as a nervous mom reaches for the airbrakes while giving her son driving lessons.  This year the Pats started strong and Baltimore started weak.  Now in December the table seems to have turned.

Most folks are picking the Ravens to win since they are at home and the Pats have injuries to lots of key players.  But as everyone knows it could go either way.  I am still blown away by the NFL decision to take this game from primetime!  I’ll bet Deion Sanders is still wondering what happened!  This is going to be the game to watch today.  It will be a close game…most likely decided by Justin Tucker.

According to Matt Vensel of the Baltimore Sun, “The Patriots and Ravens are the two winningest teams in the NFL since John  Harbaugh was hired as Ravens coach and quarterback Joe  Flacco was drafted in 2008. The Patriots have won 73 games, including  playoffs, during that span. The Ravens have won 71. The teams have split their  six games against each other since 2009, including the past two conference  championship games.”

Yup…its gonna be a rivalry game.  A game that matters, a bit more perhaps,  to Baltimore.  Hopefully the Ravens come hungry and play harder!
